The Assistant Lecturer Sara Bassim Abdul Tahir, Head of the Sustainable Development Unit at Al-Qadisiyah Polytechnic College, participated in a workshop organized by the Quality Assurance and University Performance Department at Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University. The workshop was titled “Sustainable Development: A Future Vision within Global Rankings,” under the patronage of Professor Dr. Hassan Latif Al-Zubaidi, President of the University, and supervised by Professor Dr. Ahmed Ghanem Wadi, Assistant President for Scientific Affairs.
The workshop covered the concept of sustainable development and its environmental, social, and economic dimensions, as well as the mechanisms for transforming university activities into measurable indicators that contribute to supporting global rankings and enhancing the university’s academic reputation.
The workshop emphasized the importance of strategic planning, building partnerships with civil society institutions and the private sector, and the role of technology and technological incubators in supporting innovative projects and achieving sustainable impact.
This participation is part of Al-Qadisiyah Polytechnic College’s efforts to promote the culture of sustainable development and actively contribute to achieving the university’s goals and strategic plans.
