The Department of Prosthetics and Orthotics Technology at Al-Qadisiyah Polytechnic College organized an educational course on prosthetics, presented by the department head, Dr. Safa Maseer Kamoush, Dr. Duaa Youssef Mohammed, and Assistant Lecturer Thamer Ali Abdul Amir. The course was attended by faculty members, technicians, and students of the college.
The course covered several scientific topics, including:
- An introductory overview of prosthetics.
- Understanding the different types of prosthetics and their importance.
- Discussion on the components of a prosthetic limb and its benefits.
- Understanding the mechanism of action of prosthetic limbs.
- Highlighting the main advantages and disadvantages of prosthetics.
At the conclusion of the course, participants emphasized the importance of such educational sessions in enhancing the scientific and practical knowledge of students and staff, and in raising awareness about modern technologies used in the field of prosthetics.
