The Technology Incubator and Ecosystem at Al-Polytechnic College – Al-Qadisiyah concluded the activities of Entrepreneurship and Innovation Week 2026 with the convening of the preparatory meeting of the College’s Industrial Advisory Council, attended by Council members and representatives of relevant stakeholders.
At the outset of the meeting, the Chairman of the Council, Professor Dr. Zaki Mohammed Abbas Bahiyya, welcomed the esteemed members of the Council, commending the efforts of the Technology Incubator in ensuring the success of the Entrepreneurship Week activities launched by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research across Iraqi universities. He further emphasized the importance of effective partnership between academic institutions and both the public and private sectors.
The meeting addressed several key themes, most notably:
- Developing and formalizing cooperation agreements with other technical colleges, private training and development institutions, local companies, and civil society organizations.
Launching surveys aimed at enhancing the professional pathways of the College’s graduates and directing them to employers. - Engaging employers in the meetings of the Industrial Advisory Council, in addition to graduate entrepreneurs.
Supporting innovative ideas and documenting success stories. - Organizing employment fairs for students in cooperation with local institutions and companies.
- Establishing training programs in soft skills to qualify final-year students and graduates for integration into the labor market.
- Organizing creative competitions to motivate students and develop their ideas in a manner that contributes to enhancing their skills for future professional life.
The meeting concluded with an affirmation of the importance of activating the role of the Industrial Advisory Council in supporting the College’s outcomes and strengthening their alignment with labor market requirements, thereby contributing to sustainable development and community service.
