The Department of Prosthetics and Orthotics at Al-Qadisiyah Polytechnic College organized a seminar for its students entitled “The Languages Throughout Human History.” The session was moderated by Asst. Lecturer Haider I’lan Abbas, a faculty member in the department, with several students in attendance.

The seminar focused on introducing the most significant languages that have emerged throughout human history and their role in the development of civilizations and cross-cultural communication. It further detailed the various stages of linguistic evolution, from the origins of speech to the development of contemporary languages.

The lecturer highlighted the importance of linguistic studies in understanding the cultural and civilizational heritage of nations, emphasizing the role of language in transmitting knowledge and science across different eras. Additionally, the session reviewed examples of ancient languages that left a profound impact on human history.

At the conclusion of the seminar, an open discussion was held with the students. The participants engaged through a series of questions and interventions that enriched the topic, emphasizing the importance of such scientific activities in broadening students’ intellectual horizons and enhancing their cultural and scientific knowledge.
